Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Conductor on behalf of a manufacturing client, to optimize their website and provide content guidance with the end goal of boosting their SEO efforts. Being able to see what keywords make it to the top of search results, first page, or beyond is very helpful. This is mainly used in the marketing department.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Conductor makes it easy to monitor your organic search traffic.
Being able to see monthly search volume by keyword allows for focus on data driven - important keywords, rather than what's thought to be important.
Having insights into how you compare against your competitors or even channel partners is helpful.

Cons

If you're not in it everyday, navigation can be a bit tricky.
It took 3 weeks to get a data connection issue resolved, which had caused us to temporarily lose insights during that period.
There's a decent learning curve on the platform.

Return on Investment

Organic site traffic has consistently been up over 40% YoY every month.
We have seen numerous keywords move up in ran results.
The visuals make it easier to communicate to others.

Support Rating

Aside from a connection issue which took 3 weeks to resolve, their support team has been great. They are very attentive and are happy to hop on the phone to help you work through questions or issues. When our clients website switched over to secure (https://) our data freaked out and looked terrible. They were able to walk us through what we need to look at and how to get around the data changes.

If you're looking to keep up with your SEO traffic, keywords and trends, this is for you. The tools available to not only review your important information, but also to see how you stack up against the competition is immensely valuable. While the keyword insights here are great and can also provide guidance on paid search terms, I wouldn't license it for that reason.

As a user that's not in the platform everyday, it can be hard to find/remember where to find things. The InsightStream is very helpful as if gives great insights without the manual research.

Thanks so much for taking time to write this review. The detail is really helpful. First off: congrats on seeing such tremendous traffic growth. 40% YoY is no joke, so send my compliments to the team for making it happen. Of course, we are happy to a part of that growth and will keep working to support your continued success. I apologize that you experienced issues with your analytics integration after migrating to https. We saw this happen with a few customers and even though it's more of an analytics thing than a Conductor thing, it led to us working on a better internal monitoring system to catch these errors and we are working on better proactive messaging for customers as a preventative measure.
