Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

We have multiple Salesforce orgs, and most of them are implemented with Conga Composer for document generation purposes. Instances and respective Conga Composer implementations have different use cases and different distribution implementations to support the business operations and processes. It automates and enables business users to just have to click a button to generate the required documents for the customers. Documents range from agreements, claims, audits, plans, and a whole lot more document types, where templates range from simple to complex contents, logic, and layout. Some use cases revolve around finishing up a business process with the ultimate result of having a link to the form directed to the generated document. There are some use cases where Conga Composer is integrated with DocuSign for electronic signatures from multiple parties. For automated document generation, Conga Composer is the default solution go to in the organization - maximizing the usage and investment in this amazing tool.
  • Document generation.
  • Integration with DocuSign.
  • Leverages and supports Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel features and capabilities to achieve the desired generated document outcome.
  • Providing the tool or facility to make solutions and managing easy. Having the availability of Conga Composer Solution Manager is a big improvement - all the solution details and components in one view.
  • Allow quotes in merged field values. We have a lot of cases the solution built with Conga doesn't work for particular records because of valid data with quotes supplied by the users.
  • Support nested if conditional statement as currently, we are addressing this via creating a formula field in Salesforce and using this as a merged field. With this, we don't need to create the Salesforce formula field, as some objects might already be hitting a number of custom fields limit.
  • To prompt with a specific and descriptive error message to clearly indicate what the issue is. Let's say the error can be due to a field value with a quote - indicate the affected field; operation canceled - be specific that the error is due to expected data not being available, etc.
  • time saved on document creation - 100%. Saves time a lot as most of the document contents are sourced from multiple entities/objects and have complex logic.
  • Reduced errors in documents - by 70%. Currently, there's a particular use case that users are still doing the manual spell check (MS Word capability) in the generated document.
Users just need to click a button on a page or either complete an automated process, and as an outcome would be a link where you can view and download the generated document. It's easy to use for end users. A bit complex for the developer building the solution.
Conga Composer's document generation capabilities bring a positive and valuable impact on the organization's document workflow. Business users can focus on what is more important and needed rather than the manual generation and checking of documents.
