Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman

At [...], Contractor Foreman isn't just an app on our phones; it is the "operating system" of our entire business. In the high-stakes world of exterior remodeling—where weather, material delays, and crew coordination can create chaos—this platform acts as our single source of truth. We used to struggle with communication gaps between the sales rep who sold the roof and the crew leader installing it. Now, every note, photo, and client preference is synced, ensuring the guys on the ladder know exactly what was promised in the office.

Pros

  • Their customer service is next to none. They always have someone available to help
  • The interface i completely customizable so that there is not more information than necessary
  • They way the cost items get tracked within a project that allows for every penny to be accounted for

Cons

  • The way an estimate start to glitch after to many items have been put in
  • The back button doesnt take you to the last page but to the module instead
  • The way To-Do lists are not directly associated within the projects module
  • It has allowed for more structure within the company
  • It has given more clear communication from the sales office to the field
  • It has increased the capacity of projects we are able to take on by allowing them to flow smoother and have less wasted time on projects
Compared to Procore or Buildertrend (which can cost a small fortune), Contractor Foreman gives us 90% of the same features for a fraction of the cost. It’s the "working man's" software.
Having our estimates, daily logs, and schedules in one place—instead of across five different apps—is a massive win for our sanity.
Everything in Houzz Pro is designed to look beautiful for the client. It’s "high-end" and "boutique." If your business is 80% aesthetic consultation, it’s a winner. If your business is 80% hammers and nails, it feels a bit "fragile." The interface isn't as "slick" as Houzz, but it handles the heavy lifting—like subcontracts, purchase orders, and complex scheduling—without the fluff.

If the job is more "design" than "construction," the tool's document versioning can feel a bit basic.
