Overall Satisfaction with Corel PaintShop Pro

We use Corel PaintShop Pro to not only correct pictures we use in our business but also to manipulate those pictures for various uses. The tools that PaintShop Pro has have developed significantly since it was an independent product many years ago. The addition of the new AI tools while they take some getting used to are fantastic. Love the product, love the tools it offers, it is our go-to for editing photos for all uses in our company.

Pros

  • AI photo correction is an excellent new addition
  • The before an after side by side feature we use everyday
  • The undo feature is one I particularly like

Cons

  • I would like to see better smart cropping, we have the need for use in our carrying and travel cases for foam cut-outs. This requires a picture to be taken of the product and then outlined. The latest Apple update does a much better job of it than Corel. A definite need in our business
  • Our website is better because of Corel PaintShop Pro
  • Our brochures for tradeshows are much better due to PaintShop Pro
Overall I am used to using Paintshop Pro since before it was a Corel Product it has only gotten better and I do not have to put up with Adobe rules
From an ROI perspective, we moved entirely away from PhotoShop because we could not justify the cost vs performance. Corel PaintShop Pro is simply more cost-effective and offers the same performance and tools.

Any photo editing job needed in a professional environment can be handled by PaintShop Pro. It is the best and editing all areas of a photo to not only correct an improperly taken photo BUT also to modify it ie cropping, re-sizing, and correcting lighting. This is critical in our use of pictures taken in a factory environment where lighting might not be optimal.

It is an excellent product that we are used to using, at the moment I do not see another product that rivals it

We only looked at one other option and it was Adobe, and there were questions about ownership rights of pictures etc., so we did not move in that direciton

Corel PaintShop Pro Implementation

Great product and great solution for our photo re-touching and web work as an enhancement to CorelDraw

Change management was minimal
  • We did not encounter any major issues minor implementation issues with a user who was used to Adobe. BUT IT WAS MINOR
