Overall Satisfaction with Corel PaintShop Pro

I can use it to correct documents when other applications won't help me.

Pros

  • I can create digital copies of artwork I collect
  • I like the fact that I can create transparent backgrounds.
  • I can edit and clean old photographs.

Cons

  • I have had difficulty getting full features out of images made on Macs.
  • I've had difficulty properly opening vector graphics.
  • When saving .jpgs I find random pixels will change color on their own.
  • Being able to modify images has helped me recreate packaging for displaying and selling vintage toys.
I find it very easy to use, tho after much trial and error.
I find Corel PaintShop Pro to be a lot more user friendly and affordable.

When collecting an old set of images, that were thought lost media, I was able to find 5 of 7 in the Internet Archive. Using PSP I was able to recreate the other 2 that were lost, thus being able to retain a full set.

Using Corel PaintShop Pro

1 - Just the one photo editor who enjoys the ease with which it lets him edit photos.

Configuring Corel PaintShop Pro

It is decent, but I'm still missing some features while editing images made on a Mac
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface - I've attempted to expand the program to cover the gap in features between itself and Mac made images. While the expansions were easy to implement, it still gives messages about not being able to support nevery feature of any given images.
No - we have not done any custom code
