Overall Satisfaction with Culture Amp

Our use case was an engagement survey and it wasn't really a business problem per se, but we want to grow and we know team member engagement is at the heart of growth and so we wanted to take a baseline inaugural employee engagement survey.

Pros

  • So once our employees took the survey, it was incredibly easy to read the results, mine the data, break it out by any area where we had at least five respondents. So the individual answers were confidential, but we could roll up and get a really good sense for different departments.

Cons

  • So I think that the integration was a little bit challenging and I think that could have been solved with a different level of maybe more concierge customer service. So rather than telling us how to use the software to address each issue, actually sharing screens going side by side and either helping us do that or do it for us.
  • This has helped our business objectives. It's difficult to measure because we have had less turnover and it's one of many things that we did, but I do believe that giving our employees a voice, listening to what they had to say and then using the software also gives you recommendations for different strategies depending on what the engagement issues are and using those strategies. We have consistently shown our team members that we listen to what they have to say, their voice matters, and then we take action and it's been very powerful.
So I would give it a 10 once it is integrated, but because the integration was a challenge and I found the customer service to not be concierge level enough, I would have to lower it to an 8 for that reason.
I've used other products like IBM Kenexa as well as about 10 different engagement surveys. I've also used things like SurveyMonkey and Microsoft Forms and Culture Amp for companies that want to make decisions using better data. I would say Culture Amp was far and away better. Culture Amp stacks up and blows the competition away with the level of data you can dig into without being able to see what individuals set.

So I think it's very well suited to companies that have some IT support, integration support, because once it's integrated, it is excellent. It met all of our needs.
