Overall Satisfaction with D&B Connect

D&B has been beneficial to our operations in many ways: Anti-Corruption Due Diligence Automation within our pre-existing systems so that all we have to do it update country settings of corruption levels Sales Insights from financials to news articles & press releases to purchasing seasonality and purchaser information at various prospective clients Client insights like categorizing NACE NAICS and SIC codes, to see what industries we are most serving

Pros

  • Company information matching
  • Deep information on prospective sales leads
  • Anti-corruption Due Diligence

Cons

  • Specificity on Marketability marks
  • spurring internal collaboration (possibly client consulting into how this product could benefit internal communications)
  • Reduced manual activities and checks
  • Increased reach and transparency of information for private clients
  • Ease of use for data management teams
  • Concise overviews and reports for quality data management
All functionalities and points of interest are readily apparent and easy to adopt within Connect. The only thing that detracts from it being a full 10 were some of the initial data mapping difficulties, which in turn was the most difficult part of adopting and integrating the API to our other systems. However, overall, once it went live, all system are incredibly smooth.
Much better match rates. More sales and finance related information. More transparent and easy to use system. More functionalities compared to others, and offerings seem to be better categorized and tailored to business needs.

Do you think D&B Connect delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with D&B Connect's feature set?

Yes

Did D&B Connect live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of D&B Connect go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy D&B Connect again?

Yes

The services provided by Dun & Bradstreet, to what I have experienced, are incredibly well rounded and all-encompassing when it comes to lead generation and verification, system automation, and the ability to work across multiple systems internally. I do not really see any scenario where D&B Connect would not be a benefit to an organization. The only pain point I could see would be the price, but those who cannot afford the services are likely not able to get the most out of the provided services.

Evaluating D&B Connect and Competitors

Yes - Moody's ORBIT. D&B was just a better product with better numbers and more capabilities. ORBIT was a much more limited program and did not offer the extent of services that came with D&B, or were available for purchase with D&B.
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
  • Other
The extent of information and quality of data were the most important, when compared to price. D&B seemed to have more companies/entities in their system, and gave sales people more and more reliable data to do their jobs and for management on the backend.
Would not change a thing, might purchase more functions from the start
