Analytics for today's gaming market
Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics
We use D&B reports for evaluating new customers, evaluating current status of customers for deals, & for evaluating existing customers for changes to credit limits. We are a International Global company. D&B is very good at identifying potential issues with customers, listing lawsuits & bankruptcies, & payment habits. My only complaint is how D&B keeps changing their types of reporting (changing names of ratings), which makes it difficult sometimes to compare reports from time periods when data isn't apples to apples.
Pros
- lists lawsuits filed
- compares within industry & payment habits
- shows headquarters & subsidiaries
Cons
- comparative analytics between time periods; analytics change
- prefer D&B to decide on a format & stick with it
- I feel D&B is using COVID as an excuse to require new investigations for many customers
- If report shows good behavior, we can increase credit limits & have less holds on orders.
- Predictive information can help us decide to not sell to a particular customer, or to require stricter payment terms.
- Improves our decision making for approving deals & financing terms.
All the other reporting analytics we use are usually in conjunction with D&B reports, or are gathered when D&B reporting is not available without an investigation.
