Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the information D&B Finance Analytics provides for our scoring models for customers that are low risk or where the credit exposure isn't significant. We also use the alerts to advise of of changes to payment trends of other information to monitor these customers. This saves our analysts time and allows our team to concentrate our attention on larger credit lines and higher risk customers.

Pros

Allows users to set up alerts for specific customers
Allows analysts to create folders to store their accounts which saves time with having to search when updating files
Provides a number of report that allow for data to be exported for reports and mass updates

Cons

User training tools should be prominently displayed on dashboard

Return on Investment

Reduced placed for collections by allowing the team to concentrate on higher risk customers.
This also improves DOS and cash flow by allowing us to keep a better tabs on high risk AR

Alternatives Considered

We were unable to find a service that met our needs like D&B Finance Analytics.

Support Rating

The D&B team was very helpful when we were implementing the service. The service continues to be excellent and their team has always been helpful and responsive to questions and issues.

The alerts, folders and reports help us to support smaller customers with minimal time. This allows our team to concentrate on larger and high risk customers. With higher risk or public companies there are other resources that are more readily available or has more up-to-date information available(i.e. SEC or company website).
