Overall Satisfaction with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room

I use it primarily as a due diligence advisor in accessing M&A deal files. The product for us is an effective and efficient way to stay on top of the data uploads that occur as part of the due diligence and acquisition process. For us the significant problem that it addresses is how to share large volumes of files while effectively managing Q&A processes. Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room manages the files effectively.

Pros

  • The user interface on the data room is clean and efficient
  • The summary emails are in a good easy to read format for highlights
  • The download function is seamless and works very well

Cons

  • The login process could be smoother. I have had common instances of having to re-enter my credentials multiple times to log in
  • The frequency with which my password must be changed is somewhat onerous
  • Primarily for our organization it just enables us to conduct business diligence without incurring material travel expense costs
The user interface is very good and the folder numbering system is intuitive and easily transferred to downloaded files. On other data rooms these numbers do not transfer as effectively meaning that when a significant number of files are downloaded it can quickly be difficult to find where in the data room they came from.
I always prefer Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room because of the user interface and ease of use. It provides the most seamless experience out of all of them and removes any concerns that the data room will cause us any challenges in the process.

Based on my current experience with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room and other virtual data rooms it is very well suited for the purposes of managing an M&A virtual data room. I have not used it in ways that I felt it was not particularly well suited so do not have any further concerns in that regard.
