Overall Satisfaction with DealHub.io

We use DealHub for all price book, proposal and contracting purposes. DealHub has allowed us to achieve consistency globally in our proposal-to-signature process, which in turn has eliminated errors and the ability to circumvent the process. The guided selling motion within the system has allowed us to get answers to pertinent information within the Salesforce account object to ensure data accuracy (Account types, segment, etc.). Those answers enable us to create workflows to specifically quote for each prospect bucket.

Pros

  • Guided selling playbook
  • Sync to salesfoce
  • Electronic signing
  • Consistent contracting

Cons

  • Complex mapping depending on product/company complexity
  • Seemingly random changes to playbook during enhancements
  • System slow downs happen sometimes
  • Reduced write offs due to inconsistent contracting
  • Allowed for global analysis of booked vs billed
  • Pipeline metrics are significantly more accurate
  • Review of proposals/Deal Desk set up
The useability of DealHub can be a bit tough to absorb the more complex your product is. Multiple parts within the platform must tie together and often times it is difficult to remember the workflows/what needs to tie to what, especially if you are not in the system daily. I suggest having multiple people be "admins" within the system as a single point of failure can cause delays. As for the teams that create the quotes, you essentially make it "foolproof" where you simply answer the questions in the guided selling motion and get a quote. I always say that someone who knows nothing about the platform can stumble into the playbook, answer the questions and get to a spot where they have a quote very easily, even without training.
We selected DealHub due to it's guided selling motion and subscription object that helps with expansion, upsell, cross sell and renewal opportunities after the initial sale. The guided selling allows users to think less about the quote process and simply answer questions to get them to an output. The subscription object allows us to make contract amendments mid-term easily while tracking accurately in Salesforce without any problems. The low/no-code aspect of the platform is nice, but I would say that it is more complex than that claim may imply.

Yes

Did implementation of DealHub.io go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy DealHub.io again?

Yes

DealHub is well suited to put controls on the contracting process. You are able to create price books in DealHub and run all calculations through their system to then push back to Salesforce opportunity/opportunity line items. The system can handle everything from the first meeting pipeline (We require all pipeline $$ to originate from a DealHub Proposal sync) to signature within Dealroom -- Their electronic signing tool. Where DealHub may not be appropriate is if you have a very complex selling motion or have very different selling operations within multiple regions. We have two core regions and each one is essentially set up as its own entity, requiring double work to update.
