Overall Satisfaction with Demandbase One

We use Demandbase for tracking engagements across the organization so we connect with our prospects when they are ready to buy. We use it for targeted outreach to schools that are engaging with materials on our website.

Pros

  • Highlighting accounts and prospects to reach out to
  • The probability and scoring of the likelihood an account will become an opportunity or future customer
  • Tracking engagements across a timeline

Cons

  • It would be great if Demandbase had a live chat feature for people on the website
  • Marking accounts as "engaged" when they've only opened one email. It might be better to mark an account as engaged when they've interacted with more than that.
  • Demandbase has helped save us time with prioritizing engaged accounts

I really enjoy the custom reports that are sent to my inbox weekly. I get a report focused on one competitor in particular and reach out to those schools that are also engaged with our resources. It's also helpful to see insight into the customer journey and track opportunities.
This has impacted my work by knowing the right time to connect with an account. If I see a contact has only opened our emails but not much beyond that, I'm not as likely to reach out. If I see they've also registered for a webinar or visited our request for demo page, or search some intent keywords, then that account is ready! It's helped me by knowing how to prioritize accounts over others.
It's easy for me to use and access what I'm looking for. I like how it's laid out. The only thing that keeps me from a 10 is that the contacts aren't always accurate in an account. My CRM shows more contacts than what I see in DB.
  • Drift
I'm not sure what other products our marketing team has evaluated or currently uses, but we are also using Drift for insight into website activity and live chats. They're similar in that you can track engagement but I've found the reports are a little more finicky. They also have live chat and a video option.

Demandbase is well suited for when I'm doing any outreach. If I'm working on an account I always check it in Demandbase to see what they're interacted with and if they're highly engaged. This helps me know where to spend my time and energy on accounts that are in the market and up for a chat.
