Overall Satisfaction with DNSFilter
We are an MSP who is using DNSFilter services to augment security for the organizations we support. The service is reliable and the mobile agents are pretty easy to deploy. Having a fixed IP address for each site/location is important so you don't have to deploy agents on every machine. We had some troubles off/on for a bit with agents randomly switching to roaming mode but I don't think we've had an issue since they implemented the local DNS and domain fields. The extra security above what our endpoint protection and firewalls provide is good and provides us with another check box for compliance.

Evaluating DNSFilter and Competitors
Yes - Umbrella by Cisco (previously OpenDNS) tries to do so much more than just DNS. That may be appropriate for some organizations but was not the tool we were looking for.
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
DNSFilter is simple and effective and appropriately priced.
Zero-trust seems to be driving new levels of security and that might change how we view future implementation of security add-ons.
