Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

DraftSight is used by our engineering department for all our 2D CAD needs.
  • Similar structure to and compatibility with AutoCAD and CAD standards
  • Lightweight
  • Affordable
  • Integration with SOLIDWORKS
  • DraftSight has a fantastic ROI in comparison to AutoCAD where 2D CAD isn't a primary focus in the engineering department.
For our needs, DraftSight has all of the features required and more and makes a perfect alternative to AutoCAD.
I believe that DraftSight is an excellent alternative to AutoCAD in nearly all situations where the 2D CAD needs are a secondary aspect of the needs of the engineering department. I have not used DraftSight in an environment where 2D CAD was the primary drafting methodology.
