Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I use DraftSight for my personal use and for designs in my side hustle of doing design work for a metal fabricator. I also use it to help in aiding designs for our recent dive into vinyl cutting. For an easy to use and powerful CAD software i would definitely recommend DraftSight. I am the only one that uses DraftSight. It has many uses for personal and professional designs for a reasonable price.

  • Still offer a free version
  • The tracing of pictures to create .dxf's could be easier to use. Kind of clunky and not very intuitive.
  • Other than what I listed above, I cannot think of anything else to improve DraftSight. Other than that I am very happy with the software.
  • The work I am able to accomplish with DraftSight covers my yearly subscription price and then some.
DraftSight is very easy to use like AutoCAD but DraftSight is more affordable for the small business that doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a drafting software.
For anything in 2D DraftSight is a great program. So if you are a shop that does mostly 2D designs and needs .dxf's for programming your machine, DraftSight is very affordable and will not break the bank. Is a great design software for the small business person that is easy to use.
