Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace
It is used for monitoring our core application for our most critical customers. This application manages all processes related to Air Cargo transportation. It is used by various teams but mainly developers that need to troubleshoot issues in a production context. It gives them visibility inside the running application.
Pros
- Identify application performance issue. We were able to quickly pinpoint what application component was the root cause of the issue and develop new code for improving our application.
- Correlation of infrastructure monitoring and application monitoring data. Putting infrastructure related data, like CPU usage, in context greatly helps troubleshooting issues. It provides a single source of information for people of different teams which helps communication.
Cons
- Dynatrace SaaS still lacks some features allowing to automate configuration.
- It greatly participates in our capability of reaching our SLA’s.
AppDynamics was not able to deliver in ours. Very specific context.
