Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace
Dynatrace is used to monitor some of our critical applications and the OneAgent is installed on all the servers hosting processes/services related to those applications. We look at infrastructure, process, services and applications. We combined synthetic transactions and real user monitoring to know how the application is doing. We build dashboards that are then used by our Control Center.
Pros
- Easy synthetic transaction recording.
- Easy deployment of the agent.
Cons
- Support of legacy technologies.
- Support for API development.
- Quick deployment.
- Small team can manage the deployment.
- Operations Manager i (formerly HP Operations Manager) and System Center Operations Manager
- Easier to keep up-to-date.
- Easier and quicker deployment.
- Better coverage.
- Real end-to-end monitoring.
- No silo monitoring.
- Less flexible than OMi and SCOM for running custom scripts.
