Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace

We use Dynatrace for event management and digital user experience monitoring. We also use it to help identify problems before they become a large issue or outage. It helps that they have an office local in Detroit. Dynatrace is out central monitoring tool! Support and consulting are really great also.

Dynatrace can monitor infrastructure, applications and digital user experience. It is adding better dashboarding and log analysis which is great for batch job monitoring. The synthetics capability is also great. Support is good. Licensing can be a little confusing and may take a few rounds to get it straightened out and understood.
Support can be a little slow at times. It usually takes a few rounds to get the right answer to a problem. It helps to have a dedicated resource onsite or remote for conversion to dynatrace platform. It also helps to pay for premium support if you need 24x7 help or priority chat help.

Great for monitoring customer-facing apps, like a website, and for correlating events - it's easy to integrate into Service Now for a single pane of glass. Dashboarding needs to be more robust as many departments want to see how their systems are doing at a glance. API is great which makes this a true platform for integration.
