Overall Satisfaction with e-automate

[...] aims to offer managed printer service as well as managed IT for clients to integrate both of them together. e-automate targets these MSPs specifically and helps you understand which contracts with printing will be profitable, and which ones need to be left behind. We worked with e-automate for all of our print clients and found it made it easier to see which contracts were providing the best ROI.

  • Saved several hours per week for our billing department since everything is organized now.
It helps us keep track of old contracts that were signed before our merger. We had several client contracts stored in an old Sharepoint site. We were able to easily bring those contract images out of Sharepoint and move them into this system so that all of the printer contracts are now in one place and we don't have to look through multiple Sharepoint sites.
We noticed that the billing department no longer needs to put in 12 hour days at the end of the month. In the past, they would work very long days when it was the end of the month and billing needed to completed. The end of the month is now less stressful for accounting since all the deals are organized in one place online.
We use the cloud version for e-automate. We have not noticed much difference between on-prem deployment versus the cloud in terms of speed. At times we would have issues accessing on-prem contracts and billing when the old servers would go down. The cloud is obviously much more reliable and you don't have to worry about RDP session for a local server.
IT Glue is a good product for tracking inventory and configurations. We use it for our MSP as well as the print side of the business. It is best to use IT Glue in conjunction with e-automate since they can compliment each other. Keep all your printer configs in ITG along with passwords while you track current inventory with e-automate.

This application is great to keep track of inventory. We are one of the largest printer resellers in the Southeast and have printer deliveries constantly coming from the warehouses. This makes it easy for technicians to track what printer installs are coming up for the week and also helps them determine if we have the correct model in stock or if we need to ship out more inventory. Don't use the product if you need immediate support over the phone. Responses via email have normal turn times.
