EdXcellent!
Overall Satisfaction with edX for Business
EdX is an awesome platform for certified learning, upskilling, and career preparation. Raymond is a leading expert in material handling and supply chain, and because of the vast expertise of the participating EdX universities, our managers and employees can become experts in the soft and hard skills necessary to move the business forward without relying on our own internal training department to figure out course material. It’s reliable and easy to use. Love the MicroMasters programs!
Pros
- Variety of courses
- User interface
- Verified learning
- Easy payments
Cons
- Following forum posts when there are thousands of participants is clunky
- The feature that is supposed to bookmark your progress and start you up back where you left off is rarely accurate
- Verified learning
- Easy payments
- Variety of courses
- Improved morale for fulfilling training and certification requests
- Team members readied for big transformation projects ahead of time
- Reduced cost to develop in-house analytics dashboards and reporting
Coursera is another great platform. They are pretty comparable functionally. We chose EdX initially because of specific content that was requested for training. However, we also have users on Coursera because of specific content that’s only on that platform. The best advice I can give is choose the course material—the platform is less important.
