Overall Satisfaction with Elementor
I purchased Elementor at the beginning of this year to design a new website for my business. I have experience with computers, coding, and Wordpress so I thought this would be a good fit. I was excited to see that it's more block code and that many designers use Elementor to create websites for their clients.
Pros
- Block code is very easy to work with.
- They don't have support, per se, but they have a whole big group of users on Facebook who are great at helping each other out.
- They have some templates you can use to just get going if you're in a particular industry that would probably work well with a template!
- The price is really not bad for how much you get.
Cons
- Elementor is a bit slow compared to other block coding that's out there now for Wordpress websites.
- It also does not work well with WP Rocket and WP Rocket will break your site.
- There's a lot of searching through their website when you do miss something and can't figure out how to get it to work.
- I thought this would increase efficiency with building my website, which it did, until I installed WP Rocket and it broke. I had already paid for using WP Rocket and my CDN and didn't want to switch to another service.
- I was able to make a website probably with the least amount of time ever and was very happy with that.
- I was disappointed that I couldn't use the website I had built because the code is a bit bulky and slow and isn't compatible with WP Rocket.
I ended up asking Elementor for a refund so I could use another theme. They were quick to refund me and ask what they could do better in the future. I ended up choosing OShine, which worked great for me, but now I wish I would've gone with Oxygen as it seems to be a little tiny bit faster than OShine. I just don't have the time to build another website at the moment and I'm happy with the speed of my site.
