Elementor is a great web editing platform to use for small businesses!
Overall Satisfaction with Elementor
We have a bulk food store and sell many of our items online. We use Elementor to edit our home page, hours/contact page, sales page, etc. It is a lot easier to edit using Elementor since it provides a drag and drop style of editing versus the more complicated alernative of coding.
Pros
- Utilizes a Drag and Drop style of editing
- Keeps things mobile and tablet friendly
- Formats things nicely and keeps things uniform
- Gives lots of options for adding text, images, buttons, html coding, etc.
Cons
- It can be hard to remember to switch to mobile view to make sure it computes well on cell phones and tablets.
- The updates sometimes can mess with the theme and site, and requires some editing to get it back to the correct format.
- There is an Elementor Pro version that gives more options, but it does cost a yearly fee, which can add up over time.
- Our sales have really grown over the past five years of using Elementor. We went from fulfilling less than five orders a month to now 10-15 per months. And we are a small bulk food store with a small audience.
- We have been able to add plug ins along with Elementor to customize our products, store, and pages.
- We haven't done as much with SEO and Elementor. I feel like this is one area that we could probably do better.
Elementor is a bit of a different platform than, say, easyTithe, Robly, and Apptivo, but it is comparable to Shopify. I feel like Elementor and WooCommerce are a lot easier to use than Shopify, and it doesn't come with such high fees. For our business, it was no choice! Elementor fits great for our needs!
