Overall Satisfaction with Elementor

I use Elementor on a weekly basis to build WordPress websites for businesses of all shapes and sizes, from local mom and pop service shops up to multi-location and franchise websites. I also educate business owners and their teams on how to use Elementor and make their own updates to their websites when they need to. Elementor provides an easy UI for building a world-class website with responsive designs.

Pros

  • Mobile friendly layout and responsive designs
  • Image optimization
  • dynamic content
  • SEO friendly web builder

Cons

  • reducing DOM size and increasing page speed times
  • additional SEO features would be great
  • better global settings and education around those features
  • Positive: allowed us to expand our team and have multiple people work on website builds.
  • Allowed us to educate clients and help them take over their own websites.
  • Negative - it's hard to prevent people from uploading large image files.
Extremely dynamic and responsive. It is the superior WordPress builder that can easily handle complex designs and complex websites with different layouts and functionality for multiple pages. Very SEO friendly and the custom templates make workflows extremely fast to work with. Specifically this is a massive upgrade if you are coming from Divi.
Elementor does have some bloat, but nearly as much as Divi has. In comparison, it's extremely light weight and much faster to use with the front end builder. It's so much faster to edit and move elements around with Elementor compaired to Divi. I still have to do some work on Divi sites and end up moving so slow in Divi compared to Elementor.

Would you buy Elementor again?

Yes

Elementor is well suited for a lot of different website types, from basic static sites, to sites with dynamic content. E-Commerce is where it starts to get tricky, and can sometimes struggle with robust site search functionality. If you're building a very large site, you may want to consider a more stream-lined and light weight solution.

Using Elementor

6 - SEO, Video team, and web dev team all use elementor. Primarily our web dev and SEO teams use Elementor the most and help our clients learn how to use it themselves as well. Our SEOs use the built in RankMath functionality and FAQ schema feature quite a bit. Our web dev team uses Elementor daily to bring new web designs to life.
4 - The types of skills required to support Elementor include basic html/css as well as a familiarity with WordPress, WordPress plugins, and basic web page layout design knowledge. Elementor users need to be able to understand how to use a layout from a mockup file or an example website and use it on the website they are building.
