Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
Our entire organization uses Encompass360 Banker Edition to originate loans. From taking a loan app, to selling the loan.
Pros
- Keep up to date compliance information.
- Vendor integration. They allow a lot of services to be ordered from within Encompass.
Cons
- Working within Encompass is not intuitive. There's no real flow. Milestones can stop the user from proceeding if something isn't completed, but it's not a true workflow.
- Their support team is unresponsive and sometimes seemingly untrained.
- It's slow.
- Since Encompass has a large share of the market, it becomes a recruiting tool to bring on new branches if they are already familiar with Encompass.
I was not involved in the purchasing of this software. There are lots of other solutions out there, but they don't offer as many features as what Encompass does. It's powerful, but slow. Broad strokes, it's very capable of getting the job done, but it falls short on smaller tasks.
