Overall Satisfaction with Entrinsik Informer
We are currently using Informer in a Unidata environment and are in the process of converting to a SQL environment. We use the product across the entire university. Informer allows our users to generate reports very easily. We have a few users the create and modify their own reports and are in the processing of training other users to begin creating/modify reports.
- Mappings are easily created, but need to be careful on who you allow to added metadata to the mappings.
- Reports are easily created and maintained.
- Installation is relatively easy.
- Security can be very cumbersome.
- Like the file mapping suites in UNIDATA. Has saved us a lot of time not having to rebuild reports every year. The mapping suites don't work well at all in the SQL environment and feel that this needs to be resolved very quickly .
