all admin across campus use the product to run reports and query database

Pros

  • Ad hoc query/reporting
  • Creates Live Excel documents

Cons

  • Available logic is too limited for more complex queries
  • Cannot see your database's file structure and data items through Informer
  • IT and IR staff time have been freed up as end users and execs can access simple data on their own.
Informer is a stand-alone product. If our ERP ever develops an adequate reporting tool that meets our minimal needs we'll likely switch as it should be better integrated.
Works well for end users and execs needing simple data. For research/analysis and complex reporting it can be quite frustrating.
