Overall Satisfaction with EveryAction

We use EA for large scale communications (newsletters, e-blasts), for online petitions and sign-up forms, and for event registrations in order to build our contact database. We are a small non-profit and don't have capacity for a formal IT/comms team, so this software allows us to build a database of supporters easily through the outreach we do.
  • Easy drag-and-drop newsletter creation for clear and beautiful communications.
  • Great integration of sign-up forms into contact databases to easily convert participants at events to subscribers.
  • Beautiful customizable forms that integrate into our website.
  • So many different features that it can be overwhelming.
  • Can be difficult to navigate within the EA dashboard and find what you need.
  • Wish reports could be generated more easily and simply for things like event participation or sign-on forms.
  • Saves employee time and capacity managing a supporter/subscriber database
  • Unified platform to manage all outreach/engagement activities in the same umbrella platform
  • Expanding our network of supporters and subscribers to our org
Because they updated the platform, their old Getting Started package and Help articles were outdated, so getting going on the platform was very difficult. However, they have some great training series, and so we picked and chose which functionalities were the most important to us and focused our efforts there. But I feel like we could do so much more with the site if we just had a more guided entrée to it.
Haven't had any major issues with errors or outages; they've happened but not at a time that interfered with us getting out communications.
Because of the online action forms and how they feed into contact database growth, we've been able to grow our subscriber list and supporter network, as well as develop sophisticated sign-on letters advocating on legislation in a way that we haven't been able to before.

We selected EA because it does everything under the same roof - online communications and fundraising. It makes newsletters just as nice as Mailchimp with the new drag-and-drop editor and has better analytics for the money, and creates much nicer forms that connect to a contact database and have more security and autofill features to make engagement easier.
It has great functionality if you take the time to get into it, and then you can ignore features that are too advanced. I think if you have a data/IT team that really knows what it's doing, they will love the options in EA. If you're a smaller team like us, it'll be a learning curve to really get into it, but then too maintain an adaptable database with little to no effort and build in subscriber conversion to the work that you're doing is a godsend.
