Overall Satisfaction with EveryoneSocial

EveryoneSocial is being used by two of my clients, and I consult them on its usage and the content implemented there. My team also helps create the content used there, but it's so integrated into our monthly social process that I wouldn't say the program is used across my entire organization. Mostly just by me. I've used it both as a user, as well as utilizing it as an admin. The clients that use EveryoneSocial try to encourage everyone(haha) from the organization to leverage the tool and participate, but in both cases, it ends up being mostly the sales team, with some people within the marketing department utilizing the tool. The tool is used to activate employee advocates in social media. This tool supplies those employees with already-created social media posts, so that they don't have to think about what to write to support their company, the employee just connects their personal social media account to the platform and it pushes out the pre-populated post, making it easier for employees to become involved in social media on behalf of his/her company.
  • Different "content streams." This is a great feature to make sure that each sub-section (department, vertical, etc.) can have its own customized stream of social posts to share, rather than just one massive dumping ground of posts for everyone. Helps to keep things clean and organized.
  • Analytics: This is a really cool feature, being able to see the stats on what activity metrics your posts have driven. It gives users visibility into exactly what impact they're making on social for his/her business, which always makes for its talking point for employee reviews. :)
  • Profile integrations/extensions: You can connect your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing account to the program, maximizing your ability to share on social. There's also a mobile app version that allows you to share on the go, as well as built-in browser add-ons to make the creation of content, posts on the fly very easy.
  • Leaderboards: I think it's great to have one, it's a strong motivator, but to my knowledge, there's no room for customizations/separate leaderboards the way there is for the different content streams. Seems like a no-brainer that each content stream/group should have its own leaderboard. With one general leaderboard, I've seen it actually discourage people from participating, b/c they see Joe Smith with over a thousand shares, etc. and feel like they'll never catch up, so why bother. Separate, customized leaderboards would be a right direction for this product. This is really one of the only areas I think this tool is really lacking in.
  • It's hard to measure the ROI on social media, so I really don't like to think of it in those terms, especially with a tool that is getting your employees to share content on social media. But this tool has helped mobilize my clients' employees into posting on social on their behalf, significantly increasing their share of voice and the sentiment regarding their brands in the market. These are the metrics I like to think about for this type of tool, so I think it's a positive impact in that regard and everyone should have a tool (EveryoneSocial or otherwise) to do this if you want to mobilize your employees on social.
We use EveryoneSocial for our clients but use GaggleAMP internally for our own marketing purposes. Like I said before if you're an enterprise company that can afford the monthly cost of EveryoneSocial and has enough employees to make the investment worthwhile, I say go for EveryoneSocial. But if you're a small company just getting started and want more affordable options as you're finding your feet in the employee advocacy space, then GaggleAMP is a strong contender.
EveryoneSocial is a great, scalable solution for both enterprise companies and smaller businesses. Both clients that use the platform are businesses with national/international workforces with thousands of employees and have had very few problems using the tool. I think a solution like this makes the most sense for a larger company (250+ people). It's a little pricey (~$1500+ a month) so you would need lots of activity and willing employees participating to make the cost worthwhile. There are other solutions like GaggleAMP with similar functionality better suited to smaller companies with much more manageable pricing structures.
