Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

We use F5 BIG-IP for load balancing. Some of our major problems come through managing iRules for each application. App teams have different requirements that are always changing and this is difficult to keep up with.

  • Log visibility
  • Telemetry data
  • Professional services are great
  • Big-IQ has become a source of truth for VIPs active in the network and make F5 BIG-IP easier to find
  • Improved logs would reduce the number of other solutions needed for network health visibility
The ability to explain things through the GUI is fantastic while still allowing CLI connection to make work easier and faster.

Working in a large enterprise F5 BIG-IP works well in our data centers, it is less necessary in smaller locations that do not require the same network resources.
