Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

Our scope of our use case, we use it on the edge and we use it because F5 BIG-IP is such a ubiquitous name and we find that the help and everything along with it is top notch.

Pros

  • So I can front end a whole bunch of servers on our backend and not have to worry about the propagation of certificates across that area.

Cons

  • Well, not necessarily the features. I find that we have to change our processes in order to kind of match what F5 BIG-IP does. And it's not a bad thing, it's just that a lot of my engineers want to do it their way, not they F5 BIG-IP way.
  • It's worked out well for us because the less, if you don't have a load balancer or a way of load balancing across all these things, your traffic slows down, everything gets bottleneck, and they do a great job making sure that doesn't happen.
Because it does what they say that it does.
Very well. They're the leader in their space and we always like to pick best of breed, which we consider F5 BIG-IP.

Well, I mean it's well suited for the market that F5 BIG-IP in, which is load balancing, which takes the inputting traffic and it spreads it across the servers I have. And what's really good about it is it's all geo. It can be geo-based, so different regions of the world. I can have a different F5 BIG-IP load balancer.
