Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

It's primarily for load balancing and getting servers behind a vip.

Pros

  • Well, it's a lot easier than other load balancers I've used in the past. Like ease of use for me, particularly in the configuration for it. It's just a lot more intuitive in the interface to set it up.

Cons

  • I would say compared to other ones I've used, like being able to segment administration across different departments, making that a little easier to do.
Overall it's great to use, but there's definitely some pieces of the management of it that could just be easier to do or more intuitive, easier to find. But yeah, overall really good.
Works really well. Like I was saying with the ease of use and I mean it's great hardware really fast, we've had zero issues with that, so it's been good

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
I mean, we primarily use it for load balancing, so it works great for that. I wouldn't say we've really run into places where it hasn't been well suited for what we need it for.
