Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily see FortiAP in our organization. We use them as they tie into the Fortinet security fabric and therefore extend the firewalls ability to protect us and our customers.

I would like to add an option to show which options you change will reboot the access point.

Return on Investment

As the management of the access points are all in one place, and very easy to configure and maintain, we save money on troubleshooting.
The price point for FortiAP is very competitive and allows us to get a great product in a business that might not be able to spend as much on wireless

Usability

I love FortiAP and how easy they are to use. It's very quick to train people to use them at a basic to intermediate level.

Alternatives Considered

Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points and Ubiquiti Networks UniFi

FortiAPs are much easier to configure and just as secure or more secure than the other brands I have used.

They are best used in office environments, however, you can use them outside and in warehouses as well by using different antennas offered by Fortinet.
