Overall Satisfaction with Fortinet FortiGate

The Fortinet FortiGate are actually used in our organization for sdwan topology (spoke and hub) and some other clusters are used for north/south filtering. We're using all the featured on different branches and also have a great view of the solution. In addition, we're managing devices through FortiManager for some of them, and we're collecting all the logs to our FortiAnalyzer.

  • FortiOS has a lot of CVE published
  • Upgrade time has CVE patching
  • Change in code between 2 major release
  • The price is cleary the first ROI
  • Easy way to find administrator is a postive impact
  • Centralization of the solution with our entities is a great impact
As i'm using the solution since multiple years, there still some tips but the solution is working well and the GUI is simple to use, troubleshooting is easy, the documentation is there and you can easily find the way to configure something and add new features. Plus the solution is cloud ready and some marketplace can provide them
Money is the sinews of war but clearly Fortinet FortiGate and other product like FortiManager for extend and adminstrate remotes sites with dedicated or template of configuration is perfect, same thing with the wortianalyzer as you can find quickly any log from trafic log to UTM log (thanks to FortiAI it will be even more quick).

the first scenario is that FortiOS is a know solution for any network engineer also and like Cisco is the best way to have a great adminsitration. Fortinet FortiGate is well suited has the low price permit little and large enterprise/remote site too share the same solution and also to use the sdwan solution of FortiOS to interconnect them in a simple way. You can after that add UTM solution/feature for more security
