Overall Satisfaction with GitLab

Gitlab is used across the whole organization, version control of all our projects is done using Gitlab. We also use submodule in order to avoid multiple instances of the same objects or codes in different projects. With CI/CD we don't have to deploy the code on the server every time we make updates. Also, it's quite easy to identify who made changes in codes, everything comes in handy in Gitlab.
  • Version control.
  • CI/CD.
  • Navigation.
  • Less cost.
  • Quick deployment.
Gitlab is cost-effective as compared to other version control platforms, and lots of features come along with Gitlab. CI/ CD, monitoring, wiki page, etc. comes along with Gitlab.
Yes, we use paid plans, and, as of now, we didn't encounter any security vulnerabilities in Gitlab.
CI/ CD is integrated with some of our projects, and, yeah, it makes our deployment quicker and easier.

Do you think GitLab delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with GitLab's feature set?

Yes

Did GitLab live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of GitLab go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy GitLab again?

Yes

For business or enterprise purposes, Gitlab is much better than GitHub and Bitbucket. When we compare the pricing, Gitlab is lesser but it's less likely to have features like autopilot as in GitHub. Since most of the open-source developers use GitHub, Gitlab might not be suitable for publishing open-source packages or modules.
