Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart
We are a small nonprofit with only 4 employees each wearing many hats. We use GiveSmart for our annual gala which includes an auction and another fundraising event which is an art auction. GiveSmart has helped us transition what was traditionally an in-person event to [a] virtual [one]. This was of course necessary because of the pandemic. We intend to retain the online auction portion of the event even when we return to in-person.
Pros
- My Customer Success Mgr. [...]has been helpful in setting up our campaign and has good insights into considerations we should be making.
Cons
- Videos [that] are often recommended to answer questions or problem solve were likely created before virtual events became so prevalent. As a result, they sometimes do not address the virtual adequately or at all.
- Enabled us to reach fundraising goals in a virtual event comparable to our in-person event. Also allowed us to involve more guests/donors than would otherwise be the case.
- Also, the REPORTS available on GiveSmart were very powerful. The only exception was the banking report. Our Controller indicated there was no easy way to recognize/reconcile deposits in our bank statement.
We use Network for Good and are happy with it for regular donations and peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. GiveSmart was more appropriate for the management of our annual gala in the virtual format.
