Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart
Our organization is a not-for-profit entity that educates children who learn differently. In the past, we held an in-person annual fundraiser to raise money for tuition assistance for our families. Covid has drastically changed the way that we can fundraise this year. GiveSmart has provided our school with a tool to continue our fundraising efforts online. This year, we held an online/virtual fundraiser via their online auction feature and were able to broadcast our hour-long video and Facebook live event on the GiveSmart site.
Pros
- GiveSmart's customizable website is easy to use.
- GiveSmart's customer service has been great.
- GiveSmart's interface is clean, user-friendly and great for people who aren't very tech savvy.
Cons
- One of the ways that we raise money is through event Sponsorships, in GiveSmart, there isn't a clean way to report the money raised through these sponsorships.
- With GiveSmart, we have been able to lower our event costs and still managed to raise a significant amount of money.
- We have been able to reach more potential donors thanks to GiveSmart's system.
- Because we are a very small organization, the manpower that is required to run an in-person event is not feasible. GiveSmart has allowed us to hold an online event without the usual strain in resources.
We selected GiveSmart this year solely because of their user-friendly and highly interactive auction interface. We were impressed by the ability to broadcast a video on their site, alongside our online auction. This opened up a lot of additional visibility for our organization and allowed us to keep donors coming back to our site.
