Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

Generally, GiveSmart is just used in my department, but a couple times a year, we work with other departments to utilize the software. We use it for fundraising events and online donor engagement. We have several events a year that we use it for ticket registration, auction software, and peer to peer fundraising.

It allows us to take some offline processes online, engage with more tech-savvy donors, and make it easy to donate!

  • Integration with Blackbaud.
  • Reporting.
  • Increased fundraising revenue.
  • Increase in new donors through peer to peer.
  • Improved internal efficiency with auctions.
GoFundMe, at the time I researched it, did not provide enough customization and personalization as we would need for our events.
It works very well for what we need it for; the auction and event registration features are nearly perfected. It would nice if there were other opportunities to use the software for peer to peer, better live streaming, donor engagement, etc. outside of just auction and event registration. It would be nice if our whole department could use it instead of just the events staff.
I've always had great feedback for the customer service representatives - they always assist me quickly and help me find answers. I've been brushed off by our account rep once or twice but I try to stick to the support staff instead.
I feel like we do pretty well, considering we have very little web development experience. I do wish there was a way to set up customization for all campaigns so I don't have to redo my customization with every single campaign. It would also be nice to have various templates to choose from and to customize, instead of just the 1 layout option.
Raiser's Edge NXT, Eventbrite, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
GiveSmart is great for any fundraising event that you need paid registration and/or auctions. We are trying to move away from hosting as many auctions, and I'm not sure that the cost of keeping GiveSmart, just for event registration will be worth it.
