Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

I work for a non-profit organization that holds a large fundraising event each year. GiveSmart is excellent software for us because it gives us a central location for event ticket sales, attendee check-ins on the day of the event, and donation collection and tracking. Having one software handle it all means we can be as organized as possible with many moving parts of our event needs!

Pros

  • Allowing multiple ticket levels and prices for our event.
  • We track seating charts and attendee check-ins, with multiple ways for attendees to input information —either by our staff or by the attendees themselves!
  • Donation logging, tracking, and payment collection!

Cons

  • Some event attendees have mentioned that they didn't find the website user-friendly for them, but that could be a user error on their part.
  • I personally find it sometimes frustrating to not be able to check-in multiple guests at once for our event - for example, a husband comes to the check-in alone, and wants to quickly check in both he and his wife - having to check him in, then wait while I separately check his wife in gets a little time consuming.
  • Our donors always want an easy method to donate before, during, and after our event—GiveSmart definitely gives them that flexibility.
  • Retaining the information that GiveSmart allows us is important, especially when we compile statistics and reports based on what was processed through our GiveSmart event site.
I have been a guest at other non-profit events that utilized similar software, and I feel that the GiveSmart platform seems more user-friendly. I cannot speak to the efficiency on the administrative side because I have solely used GiveSmart, but I don't find GiveSmart lacking in any particular areas for our needs.
On the administrative side, the user functions are fairly intuitive, and information is easy to find within the platform. One thing that has been mentioned to me by the staff member in my organization who sets up the ticket/table sales for our event is that it becomes very difficult for multiple guests to buy a table together and pay separately (as opposed to buying individual tickets).
