Google Hangouts Meet along with the entire Google suite is very useful when it comes to connectivity as well as the ability to sync various meetings in your calendar so that no one can miss any important meeting in their day.
The users also get the flexibility to use either the web client or the mobile client which enhances the mobility that the users can experience when using Google Hangouts Meet.

The sales team are involved with the different clients and use Google meet as their primary medium to interact with their end clients and use it to demonstrate the tools and products. The engineering team uses it for daily meetings across the team members and to see their various scrum boards and also as a medium to showcase the vision of the company to the various developers and to align them to the end objective of the company.

There is no direct person who is incharge of setting up the Google Hangout Meet client on the company server but still the IT team is incharge of setting up Google meet on the local domain of the company and also setting up the various features available from not only Google meet but also the entire Google Suite.

Evaluating Google Meet and Competitors
Yes - The organization previously used Zoom Meetings as the primary medium for organizing conferences and other meetings but Zoom lacked that one key thing, the power of usability that accompanies Google meet with the use of Gmail and Google Calendar. Thus came the decision of switching the tools from Zoom to Google hangouts meet.
