Overall Satisfaction with Google Jamboard

Before Covid, team building and brainstorming activities were all done face-to-face. It was paper and pencil. Once we moved to a completely remote way of working, we were faced with a problem. How do we continue with team building, goal setting, training and other activities? The Google Jamboard came in handy. It made life much easier for everyone involved. Now we could benefit from the same tool used in a live environment, but used digitally. The tool has a friendly interface and is easy to use, making it accessible to all. The ability to collaborate online on the same activities makes it the perfect choice.

Pros

  • Handwriting and shape recognition
  • An infinite number of frames
  • All platform access( mobile app, pc etc)

Cons

  • Shapes and sizes
  • Handwriting
  • Panel Zooming
  • Slow loading when the board is big
  • Improved our events
  • Reduces papers and other similar
  • Improves communications
It's a tool that's easily accessible from your Google Suite. For a whiteboarding workspace, it provides a good basic platform. Multiple whiteboards can be created in one workspace, so you can share a session with multiple teams/plants. Compared to more advanced whiteboarding tools, it has limited features. You'll need to have access to the Internet to take full advantage of the collaborative workspace. The amount of storage space required for your session will use up your Google Drive quota.
The decision was made on the basis of the availability of the tool versus the licence fees.

Do you think Google Jamboard delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Jamboard's feature set?

No

Did Google Jamboard live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Google Jamboard go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Google Jamboard again?

Yes

It gets the job done, although it does not have all the features of other similar tools. If you are doing a small team building or brainstorming session with less than 5 people this is perfect, but once the number of participants is increased the tool becomes slow and hard to track and the lack of options in some cases or types of exercises leaves a lot to be desired.
