Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

Google Sheets is used for various reasons - spreadsheets are created and shared amongst departments to monitor progress, new hires, terminations, layoffs, and benefit/pension enrollments. This helps us have the flexibility of not being in the office (if needed) and can still work remotely. This is definitely preferable over using an intranet or local drives.

Pros

  • Providing shared access to certain spreadsheets very easily.
  • Has a lot of features that Excel provides (which is very good for a web-based product).

Cons

  • A variety of different templates instead of 1 per template idea
  • For some spreadsheets, we have a lot of data in it. Because of how large some spreadsheets can be, it slows the loading time significantly.
  • Negative: not great for larger spreadsheets with a lot of data
  • Positive: cost is low and has unlimited usage
Pretty self-explanatory - it's very easy to use! Not a full 10 because with large data, it could frustrate people when it's not working properly. At that point, the usability declines a bit.

It's an overall good product to use when you need to access it wherever you go. With its simplicity, you can use it for various reasons; you definitely don't need to be 'smart' when using it!

Sharing your spreadsheet with coworkers, friends, or family is also easy. Collaborating for a project, plans to go out, or a simple grocery list with family can make life so much easier.
