Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

Google Sheets has been instrumental for collecting, formatting, processing, and sharing data in a meaningful way. With the ease of adjusting the spreadsheet to bring information to the forefront and share it with peers, Google Sheets has been a game-changer for tracking student and teacher data over time. Allowing timed, granular access to information based on need-to-know helps us meet confidentiality requirements while also giving staff a specific location to reference information.

Pros

  • Organizing data in a meaningful way
  • Collecting and collating information from other sources
  • Downloading information to import into different locations

Cons

  • Ability to more granularly color code cells using a pattern or other overlay
  • Additional editing options such as share over cells instead of merge, or adding additional formulas from the dropdown menus instead of having to Google them
  • When an error shows, give a link to assist in fixing the error. I see the error, but cannot figure out how to fix said error based on the information given.
  • Allows for the dissemination of information with time-stamped access documentation
  • Maintains student confidentiality while still allowing access to information as needed
  • Prevents old information from circulating as everyone involved is working off of the latest data
I know that Google Sheets are capable of much, much more than I use it for on a daily basis. I would like more formula options listed in the dropdown menus.

Do you think Google Sheets delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Sheets's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Sheets live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Sheets go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Sheets again?

Yes

Google is wonderful for collecting and/or collating data from different sources. Using Sheets, we can share the information with those who need it and then remove access when the need is gone. I can collect information on student devices from multiple sources, organize the information, create action plans based on the information, and then provide a paper trail for administration.
