Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

Google Sheets allows for collaboration across our organization. Our entire team works remote so real-time documents are important. We use Google Sheets for rosters and for tracking metrics.

Pros

  • Integrates with other platforms
  • Real-time editing
  • Collaboration with other users

Cons

  • The ability to export to a Numbers (Apple)
  • Comparing year-to-year growth (revenue, membership)
  • Tracking budgets and department spending
It's very user friendly, even if you have no prior experience working with spreadsheets. The only challenge can be working on Google Sheets on mobile. It's difficult to edit cells on mobile.
Apple Numbers doesn't have the collaboration tools like Google Sheets does. And if someone isn't working on a Mac, Number will have challenges. Google Sheets works across devices and operating systems.

Google Sheets are great for startups and non-profits. Google Workspace has a free non-profit pricing plan. It's great for startups because it keeps costs low while still offering plenty of features. If your organization has 1,000+ employees or has concerns about security of documents, Google Sheets might not be the best fit.
