Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets
I've been using Google Sheet for over 10 years now and I couldn't go back to MS Office. It has all the features I need and the fact that it's so easy to share internally with my colleagues, or externally with vendors, makes it a very practical tool. You set up different types of security to make sure only the right people can access the information. As I'm working with Outsourcing and managing gaming team communication and tracking, Google Sheets helps tremendously to make sure everyone is on the same page, at the same time. The integration with the rest of the GSuite (Google Doc, Gmail, Slides etc.) makes it even more powerful.
Pros
- Budget and Cost Report
- Vendor Progress Report
- Listing and Database
Cons
- Google Sheets' Apps Script is not so easy to use
- Integration with some external software is not always possible
- In term of security, if you are sharing with someone who doesn't have a Google Account, you can't have all the privilege features.
- No need to buy MS Office licenses for most of the users
- No Installation needed on the machine - saving time for IT
- Always updated and with the latest features for everyone
As I need to share most of work with my colleagues or partners, Google Sheets is the best choice over Microsoft Office. It's true that MS Office has now an online version, but the sharing capabilities are not to the level of Google Sheets. This is particularly true if you are using other products from Google as the integration is awesome.
