Overall Satisfaction with GoToMyPC

I use GoToMyPC for personal issues, not business. It is an incredibly useful tool. It has saved me on many occasions. I travel a lot, and I am able to log in and control my home computer while abroad. This is exceptionally useful as sites, especially financial sites, are often blocked in foreign countries. It is easier to perform even routine tasks like buying plane tickets. I also have all of my data and documents, jpg, ID copies etc. on my home computer and can pull up documents (and transfer them) remotely. Being able to access my home computer and retrieve documents has saved me countless times. I know this product is geared towards the business customer, but I don't know how people travel without it.

I have also used GoToMyPC to screen share when it becomes advantageous for another person to see my screen (like trip planning)

Pros

  • Excellent connection. Connects quickly and control of home computer is snappy
  • Multimonitor support. I use 3 monitors and I can see them all
  • Transfer files. Easily and quickly transfers files from one computer to another. Better than cloud retrieval
  • Excellent screen resolution of host computer on remote screen

Cons

  • Just the price. Its pretty steep
  • It is for personal not business use.
Great connectivity. Excellent resolution. Screen control very responsive. File transfer is very useful. Just overall very functional.
AnyDesk is cheaper, but much more complicated to set up. GoToMyPC is easy to setup, easy to use and very functional, so I stuck with it.

Traveling. It is essential. I use GoToMyPC for personal, not business reasons and I leave my home pc on in hte USA. Not only do I have the value of accessing all data and programs on my home PC, but internet access from a US IP address is very useful. One example of program use. ... I access quicken and can pull up financial data when I am away.
I use it while I am at work. I can log on to my home computer and can access sites that my superiors might frown on... (like shopping...)
My parents have GoToMyPC and I have been their tech support, logging in to their computer and solving problems
