Easy to use interface, powerful security to your videos, and affordable price
Overall Satisfaction with Gumlet
For me, Gumlet solves two main problems. I am a course creator; I want to host my videos and also prevent them from downloading. Secondly, I create sales videos for my landing pages and funnels. If I host them on YouTube, it shows ads in the end. Gumlet solves both of my problems.
Pros
- Secure your videos using multi-layer security, including DRM
- CDN
- Streaming
- Customizable video player
Cons
- The following terms used for organizing videos are confusing - Video collections, Video channels, Playlists, and Video Library
- Though Gumlet allows to add CTA, it would be great if we could collect emails before the video starts to play
- Provide a switch to activate dark mode manually
- It saved recurring payments needed to pay to Vimeo
- It saved piracy and free download and distribution of my videos
- It helped in more convesion because, unlike YouTube, it doesn't show ads in the end. This is especially useful for sales videos embedded on the landing pages and funnels.
Bunny.net also provides streaming services and hosting of videos. But the problem with Bunny.net is that, to have the DRM solution, you need to pay $99 per month minimum. Here, Gumlet shines, as I have to pay just once for the lifetime use. Besides that, Gumlet has more features that I care about; for example, it has a dedicated WordPress plugin for videos. It also provide SEO features.
