Overall Satisfaction with Human Interest

We use Human Interest to process our 401K plan. Human Interest does the work for the most part.

Pros

  • Handles the 401K plan and any plan changes
  • fairly easy to use dashboard
  • Sends updates as needed to staff

Cons

  • Processing payments/credits in a more timely fashion
  • communication via email when dealing direct with HI staff
  • Better onboarding process
  • We have had a steady enrollment
  • Provides incentive for new hire
Onboarding could be better and communication with staff could be better. I have had to reach out to my broker to be the go between because emails are not answered or questions are not answered.

I would say Human Interest is easy to use once you figure out the quirks.. it is best used by an experienced HR person. If you do not have a ton of experience with 401K plans, it is not easy to use in the beginning. The payment schedule is also not timed with your contribution dates.. this can make reconciling difficult.
