Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud File Storage
We currently have a hybrid cloud and some of the servers on the cloud have IBM Cloud File Storage assigned to them. The main use of IBM Cloud File Storage for us is to store unstructured data that we need on a regular basis.
- Competitive prices while comparing it to other cloud vendors.
- Dynamic growth, where you can keep adding storage if you need it.
- Acceptable transfer rates while reading or writing data
- Currently IBM Cloud File Storage won't guarantee a specific amount of IOPs
- There is a limit of the maximum amount of disks that can be added to a VM
- A separate product is needed for creating backups of the data
- It helps keep the information secure, and most businesses rely on their information being secure.
- It can grow along with the business needs.
- It is price-competitive when comparing to other clouds.
IBM Cloud File Storage is a supporting feature for many of the applications that can run on either IBM Cloud Virtual Servers or IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, because as the need for storage grows, IBM Cloud File Storage can be added as a complement.
