Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Media's Video Streaming

Implementation Rating

Implementation was easy for us. Very quick and simple. As long as your hardware works and you make sure to set your video to the correct frame rate you should be pretty plug and play!

Usability

This is super easy to use. We train volunteers who have no background in video to run this service.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We stream multiple times per week our events that occur. This is the life blood of our organization and we stream at least four times a week. Multiple users and sometimes in multiple locations.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Incredible customer service.
Reliable streaming platform.
Lots of customizable features.
Ability to host multiple shows or channels under a single account.

Cons

Bring back an in house software package.
Easier access to credentials to integrate streaming within other apps.
Cross platform sharing to YouTube or other organizations supported.

Well suited for someone who needs to stream and stream a lot. You may pay a little more for the service than others but it will never fail on you and customer service is great. Less appropriate for smaller shops who do occasional work or don’t have pro-grade equipment. You can get by with a smaller platform service if you need but be aware that what you make up for in $ you may sacrifice in service and reliability.
