Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Media's Video Streaming

The main thing I can think of again, is to let our customers know we are here. The only way we can do that is if they can actually find us easily without having to get a specific link from us. We are limited as to our audience because of this issue.
Because we can always count on the service.
We maintain two 24/7 television channels. We use Ustream to stream the channel to everyone on our web page and through their computers and cell phones. Palomar College in San Diego, has purchased the license from the vendor for the community college system, to stream without commercials 24/7. I want to add an additional channel soon as well. We love the service.

Pros

  • Streaming live television Channels 24/7.
  • Hosting live events for IEEE and SEMPTE from our studios in full HD.
  • Hosting live events for various cities and sporting events we have here on campus, including campus recruiting events.

Cons

  • At this time we are fine with what the vendor has.
Easy to use and quick to set up. And it has worked for us so far 100% of the time.

2 - Our Community College Video production center at Palomar College purchased all the packages from you. I really have no idea if all the community colleges use your service. They should! We have 2 channels now.

  • We use it by having the output of our Cablecast server connect via a smart router and and SDI to USB3 adapter via Computer to feed the signal to you. 24/7
  • We would like to have a larger audience if IBM makes our channel(s) easier to find.
It's not to us it is Palomar College that renews for everyone.
